the absolute legibility of a watch for the Dutch brand
Huygens. Because instead of designing the
battery-operated clock with clear graphic and color
delimitation, the Dutch designer relies on a simply
elegant tone-on-tone design. All that is needed on the
matte dial is to print the watch brands in the same
color, but with a high-gloss finish. Wiebe Teertstra
even leaves the hands of the watch with a seductive
sheen. With excellent lighting, the viewer can determine
how much time can be read at a glance in the morning,

Bold wall clock
Between bold and chunky: Jonas Wagell designed a
wall-mounted clock for the Danish brand Normann
Copenhagen, on which opinions will differ. Graphic
artists will praise the round dial with its oversized,
"fat" hands as an iconographic design object in which
minimalism has led to absolute reduction. Critics will
accuse the Swedish designer Jonas Wagell that this
simplified clock is a striking, memorable wall
decoration, but the time can only be roughly estimated.
